Golf Courses and Hotels

The Royal Hua Hin Golf Club was Thailand’s first course and built by the Scottish workers building the train line from Bangkok. Very fine old style layout many of its fairways are lined with huge trees and sculptured shrubs in shapes of animals. Can be a rather parched during the dry season. A twenty minute drive west is Springfield Village Golf & Spa, 27 holes, a Jack Nicklaus course and reputed to be one of the 10 best golf resorts in Asia. A few minutes drive down the same road is Imperial Lake View, parkland 18 and a desert/links 18, the site of the 2007 Thailand Open.

Palm Hills Golf Club is less than 10 minutes from Hua Hin, making it the closest modern course to town, with wide fairways and very pretty (the ladies love it), this is a great start to any golfing holiday. Thirty minutes away to the west is Majestic Creek Country Club, is this the best layout still around? Kaeng Krachan Country Club is 50 minutes away, but well worth the visit, now boasting 27 holes, with the Nicklaus nine rated as the best new 9 holes around and no water! Right by the side of the national park and the rain forests of Burma, some of Thailand’s most spectacular scenery and fauna.

Black Mountain Golf Club is Hua Hin’s premier championship golf course and host of the Black Mountain Masters, a 2009 PGA Tour event. This is a man’s course! The latest addition to Hua Hin golf courses is Banyan Golf Club; Banyan Golf Club offers a picturesque course with small but attractive drinking facilities. Very friendly staff.
